What has recently donned upon me is an idea I am rather surprised that it seems that no one else has come up with it. You see, I'm a big Fender fan, but I'm also a huge Jacksonville Jaguars fan, so wouldn't it be neat if there were a Fender Jaguars Jaguar guitar? Now, I definitely don't have Custom Shop kind of money, but I went ahead and drew up some concepts for what I'd like it to be. Tell me what you think!

Be easier and probably cheaper if you sent it to someone who refinishes guitars to do a custom job. Now I need some form of Indian guitar to paint for my Skins

@kingofesquire, you are right, though I was thinking of itas more of a "neat idea" than a proposal, though my conceptual plan is a bit more complex than slapping a sticker onto a perfectly good Fender (Especially since my guitar meals and Fender-respect wouldn't allow it!).

@Buxom Yeah, I may thinking about getting some cash together to make someone else to do it, or even take a shot at it myself, though the teal sparkle and metallic headstock logos would take some work.

These pics give a good idea of what I'm talking about.

On this note, what about other NFL guitars (disregarding trademarks and licensing, of course)? One could make pretty neat conflict tons with those logos and color schemes.

Like all guitar manufacturers Fender is in business to make money and the costs of producing a line of guitars such you propose would make the price of acquiring one prohibitive if they wanted to make any money on it.

If you want to see a real "Jaguar"guitar, take a look at the Strats that the Custom Shop made in a limited number (40 I believe) mostly for executives of Jaguar Cars for a special Anniversary event.I believe that forum member Alain LaFrance still has one in his incredible collection of rare guitars. You can find it here: http://www.guitarmotel.com/ that Jaguar Strat is one of the most beautiful guitars that I've ever seen and I believe that the market value of it is now around $20,000 .

@guitslinger Yeah, I know of that one; it has nothing to do with football, but it sure is a beaut! (Referred to it in my Jag concept, actually. That's it's headstock in my third post) And, as I said, I'm not thinking of what Fender ought to do with it, but, you've got to admit it's a pretty neat idea.

If Fender made this guitar, they would have to buy a licensing from the NFL and/or Jacksonville Jaguars in order to make the guitar. The Jacksonville Jaguars logo and the NFL logo are both federally protected via the USPTO.

If this series/line were to be offered to the public, I think the guitar I would choose would start out looking like it would be good, intermittently sound ok, but ultimately fall apart every year.

I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan. :|

@Screamin' Armadillo Yeah, and mine would always seem pretty good before I really start playing (at least comparatively to the last time it was played), but I turn out to be wrong once again and it immediately turns out to be a gargantuan mess. :)

Great idea to customize for your team, the Jaguar "theme" works too. That would look cool in a sparkle black/purple paint job.

I'm a huge Packer fan and considered having my son redo my Musicmaster bass with that logo but green is my least favorite color and to tell the truth, the Packrers logo is pretty lame. No tigers or bears or indians, just a G!

The licensing would be the big roadblock that would probably unfortunately drive up the price on any guitar with an NFL logo.

My son is currently airbrushing the Musicmaster body in the style of the Clapton crashocaster series, can't wait.
