I'm looking for some advice on a new tube combo amp. Perferably 12" speaker in the $600-$700 price range (or cheaper). I want a great clean tone that can get dirty when needed. I'm using a MIM Strat with plain 50's single coils.

Are you near a guitar store? If so go in with your guitar and play what they have. Go on youtube and search through the thousands of amp demo's there. Besides you did not even qualify your question by stating what type of music you want to play. Blues Metal Rap Indy???

Tone is personal. Your asking to pick out a girlfriend for you! Does not really work that way. Everyone's tastes are different. Just like snowflakes, are any two really the same?

I recently sold my Blues Jr. and bought a Vox-AC-15-CC and it is an incredible amp. A Strat played clean through it has an even more bell-like tone. The AC-15 also dirties up real nicely too and can let loose with some great raunch. I paid $610 plus tax for mine and it was certainly money well spent.

I picked up a Super 60.. I'm liking it so far, I got 29 more days if I wanna return it and go for something with EL 84s , Vox's do sound nice but Fender guitar + Fender amp is ideal to me.

I like the Vox tones too, so I just put a Eminence Red Fang 10" Alnico in my Superchamp X2. Perfect, for me. I like the sound of 6V6's over the Limey tubes.
The Red Fang gave me such a nice chimey sound that the Vox amp mods on my DSP channel sound almost the same, but not as good. The tonal voicing of the RF is more dynamic than Celestion Blues or Golds. The RF delivers great top end and butt kicking, clean bottom. Who doesn't like a clean bottom? The mid range is smooth without being scooped. I think the Red Fang is the most complete Alnico and freakin' LOUD! Creamy, chimey and in your chest lows. I'll leave the in your gut notes for the bass.
I no longer have a Vox 'jones' with this set up.

Hi, I've been looking at some that might be good. Ampeg GVT52-112, Peavey Classic 30/112, and orange TH30 combo. The orange would be more then you would want to pay I think.
