hi all, due to my own mishandling abuse, my strat now has 2 cracked line in the finish near where the body joint with the neck. is it able to repair the crack so it cannot be seen? it does not affect the tone or playabilty, i believe it is not a through crack. maybe i should post photo, but i still do not know how to post photo here, sorry about that, haha. anyone had the same issue and managed to get it repaired?

It can be done, but it's not easy.

The difficulty will be to get an absolute color match, so not being seen at all may not be possible.

You could make it almost invisible with some care though. It just depends on how much work you're willing to do and how much care you take in doing it.

If interested, post some good photos, model, etc.

If a vintage or valuable guitar, it's best to leave it be.

It would help to first practice the techniques on other similar wood.

cheers!

That's a pretty good crack that appears to be into the wood. Is it on both sides?

You can find finish repair at places like Stewart Mac. That and get ready to wear your arm out buffing. The best advice I can give you is to practice on something else first.

i found someone who can repair but the cost is the same as buying a new body from ebay,
i think if i can find the same colour paint, i can do it DIY. from what i know, fender guitar paint have a equivalent colour code for car paint. problem is i do not know the equivalent code.
