Hello.

My name is Peter and I am from Poland, Europe, I am 18 years old. For about a half year I have been playing a classical guitar. The guitar is very old(15-25 years) and the resonance box is a little broken. I've learned some scale shapes, fingerstyle and a few kinds of picking. I am not very fast learner, but I can handle almost anything with my hard work. What makes me the happiest is covering songs mainly of Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler. I live with my mother and a cat. I go to high school. My English is good enough to write this.

I hope some day I will get an USA made Fender, but now I cant even afford to get a Squier. And that is what I want to ask you, a sign of good will. I am not a beggar and i do not want to be recognized as one or my country as a country of beggars, I just want to have gear that doesn't sound bad and limit me, like my current classical guitar and when i see you having Custom Shop guitars... I want to ask you: if you have any, any at all(strings to a classical guitar, a capo or anything else) that you do not use at all, can you please send it to me? More info by Private Message if you are interested about helping me. Europe only, because from if you send me from outside Europe, i will have to pay taxes, which i can not afford.

If you want to say something like "Get the hell outta here!", please do not say it at all.

Greetings,
Peter R.

Go ask your local music store if you can work for gear. You never know. Offer to clean the restrooms and take out trash, clean windows etc... That is usually the stuff employees let slip and managers/owners don't want to spend their time doing.

+1 on what Deluxe Matt said.
If you don't want to appear as a beggar, don't beg. If you already have a job, it sounds like you could use some extra income as well.
Show some ambition to somebody and be willing to do anything to pick yourself up. Mow lawns, walk dogs, rake, shovel, paint fences, wash windows, and whatever's offered to you for compensation, take it and say "Thank you very much."
Don't let anyone (including yourself) tell you there's no work out there.

Jesus said "Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door shall be opened unto you."... He never said "Sit on the couch and wait for the phone to ring".

Ask, seek, and knock are "action verbs". Some effort and action on your part is required to receive, find, and open a door or two. There's work out there for anybody that wants to do it.

Jack White has some advice for you:

Best of luck to you in your quest to find musical happiness. It doesn't always have to have a big price tag.

+1 With all due respect; if you want it bad enough you can find a way to earn it.

Hi Peter!

- Take your acoustic, go out on the street and play, some people will throw money into your hat.
- Find a way to work for it (washing dishes, cleaning cars, stuff like that).

Many artists live like that (young actors, musicians ....).

GOOD LUCK!

(maybe I should look for a Ferrari forum, I can't afford one!)
