And the Buddy Guy part is good too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_5s2PrAaJc

I strongly recommend that you watch this entire video, including the Jack Black intro all the way to the "Stairway" finale, which is fabulous.

Who here has done the Zepathon (watch the vid if you don't understand the question)? I'm thinking about doing it.

I don't think anyone needs to be informed that Ann Wilson can belt it out. She's been the queen of rock vocals for close to 40 years. That was an awesome tribute to Zeppelin. I need to watch the rest of the show when I get a chance.

It was really something to see the tears in Robert Plant's eye toward the end of Stairway. It really was a fantastic rendition. Jason Bonhom almost lost it a couple of times also. Nancy Wilson is still a hottie.

The Buddy Guy segment was great too although I don't think too many people understood what Morgan Freeman was referring to in the beginning of his intro to BG.

That was great. Made my eyes moist. There was something very special about those days and that band. The Buddy Guy tribute had a very similar effect of me. Touched me deep.

----Danny,

I've been looking for a re-broadcast of that event. I came upon it quite suddenly. Didn't have the presence of mind to DVR it. Just might have to go into the CBS locker and see if it's for sale. Highly recommend the Hart/Bonamassa CD.

Thanx for posting. I've seen the 'Stairway'- clip earlier , the rest of it was fresh to me . I liked it all , both the Zep-stuff , and the Buddy Guy-stuff. Doc ordered a book a while ago (which i shamefully have to admit I've not bought yet) - so I still wonder why near all of these songs/performances created some moist in my eyes....

Don't know if anyone has ever arranged 'Stairway' the like of which we saw in that performance that nite. It speaks to the potential of their music. Wonder how they would have done "Kashmir"?

Interesting question - I've got a feeling that it could be something in the direction of Stravinsky(Firebird Suite ?) , or maybe Richard Strauss -Also sprach Zarathustra (2001 Space Odyssey :?:
