Wouldn't mind seeing a few screen captures of what you're referring to above. Again, I have to be honest: Opera support ranks low on our list of priorities as a general rule but I am absolutely happy to consider it if there is enough specific demand for it here.

Thanks for your work. I only use the forums, so the changes other than the fixed navbar are minor. The x768 thing isn't Opera specific:

But as long as the forum isn't some AJAXian auto-load-more-on-scroll hideousness it's good. :)

One feature I liked a lot in the new Website is the ability to rotate a product photo by 360 degrees.

This function is not applicable to all Fender products (Custom Shop guitars and basses for example).

Oo - just seen the 360 degree view feature on the Am Std Strat. That is neat! Nice work, team! 8)

In that case, you may want to poke around and check out the hundreds of other 360s as well. :-)

Noted - very cool!

It's not an in-your-face feature, but it really adds value to the products pages (as I see chromeface has also noticed, previous post). The amazingly clean photography helps it to look excellent too. Thumbs up to those who made it happen: great job. LIKE! 8)

Cheers - C

So, no screenshot necessary. But, I like the browser zoomed to 175%. Whatever setting was in there before for universal text size, that worked! If I remember coding, there should be a percentage value that can used to display the universal page size, text, menu button, and banner bar sizes.

Zoomed 175%?

For anyone out there complaining about bad mobile forum experience, I suggest they get their programming shoes on, politely ask Brad for API access and create a dedicated mobile forum app (thus gaining 50.000 Fender Forum points, and lifetime Forum T-Shirt supply (subject to Fair Usage policy!).

IF they remember coding! ;)

I have absolute faith in Brad regarding smoothing out the odd niggle. Every major release has the potential to upset legacy users. All will be well in time, I'm sure. :)

P.S.: Perhaps a workaround for RCB: Firefox has a setting which zooms text only, thus not enlargening any images. Might be useful.

The desktop resolution on this computer is set 1680 x 1050, so zoom is necessary.

And, I use Chrome. Chrome has a similar feature to zoom text, but then the images are all out of whack.

It's not a problem with any other web site and it wasn't an issue with the previous version of the Fender forum. It's in the code. I did coding many years ago, so yeah, I don't remember the fine details and am not up-to-speed on the new code.

...the downside of it is...yah learn to ignore it (the Fender logo and menu bar.)

Here ya go Brad.

Image

If I had my druthers I'd just as soon see the black bar gone.
I don't mind scrolling up to the top of the page to get to those menu options.

Still, like I say as far as everything else goes I'm on board.

Maaaaaaaaaan - you need more pixels in your life. I'm almost inclined to take up a fund!! :-)

Just kidding - it is completely valid feedback and I had already pretty much made up my mind even before perusing this thread that the big thick nav bar needs to be yanked from this forums area. We'll try a few things in the post-NAMM weeks ahead, and I'd love to get everyone's feedback on the changes as we try them. Bear with us in the interim. Brand new site and in this case the forums area actually weren't one of the strategic focus areas of the launch so post-NAMM I want to do some followup cleanup here for ya'll's sake.

Well stated above and good suggested potential workaround above. RCB: I can tell you that that is absolutely not a configuration that we design or test for, unfortunately. :-(

The new Website has a few bugs.

For example if you click on the Standard Telecaster product page you're redirected to the Squier Standard. This means the MIM Standard Telecaster link is broken.

If you want, I can fix it for you. 8)

Um, I have to keep logging in every time I change pages...

I'll try to read the rest of this thread & check for others about that.
