Anyone here going? (Besides Fender folks)

Any hints or rumors of new Fender gear?

Any chance of winning some Fender "swag" ?

Inquiring minds want to know. :D

It's a short drive for me, but I don't know anyone that can get me in. I'm a loner.

I used to attend each year, and summers too, but it got to be a bit boring and decided to focus on non guitar related vacation. That plan didn't work out since lacking a specific reason to go anywhere I started ending up with vacation time at the end of the year I had to waste or lose so decided to go again this year. I'm currently booked to attend but may yet have to bow out due to other circumstances. There are several people I had hoped and planned to meet up with out there that I'd written about on Scotty's site earlier this year and not being able to I'll miss more than the show.

I'll use this op to re-post the link to some pix from shows gone by, for the benefit of those that hadn't seem them before. Peruse if you will at you leisure:

I was looking through James photos, and it appeared to me that the Dean Guitars Girl, Carmen, needed a little help with a zipper. I'm surprised James didn't volunteer. :)

I assembled most of them in their own gallery, it was only fitting (unlike Carmen's zipper)

I used to go every year to the Muzik Messe in Frankfurt Germany while I was stationed there (went like five years straight) as it is the European NAMM. I miss going, it was always great to go as the building they did it in basically separated everything by floor, so you had a guitar floor, and amp floor, drums, etc. Fender always had a huge display (as did Marshall, and I even managed to score a nice autographed Bluesbreaker amp poster by Jim, he had big hands!). Most booths if you talked to the guys on the last day would give away swag of some sort...I haven't bought a pic in years come to think of it, even got a few guitar pins, and strap or two!

Sure wish I lived close enough to attend NAMM! Whoever goes enjoy it. James thanks for the pics, nice job!

I heard, maybe a rumor?, something about a killer new
Fender tube amp in a retro-like enclosure with a 15" spkr but different from the tubes/design of the Excelsior???

I would like to go for sure Mike. Might have entered a contest for tickets, in that case they're probably in the mail  In any case I won't be assembling a photo montage nearly as comprehensive as Jim's. Amazing Jim thanks for posting! :D
