I just bought a brand new Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue Amp. I took it out of the box and plugged it in. The Reverb circuit does not function. NO REVERB. Where should I begin troubleshooting to get the Reverb working? :(

Well ... first check to see that the leads are connected. Tanks do fail from time to time. They are fairly inexpensive to replace. I'm guessing $20-40.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Check to see if the cables linking the amp to the reverb tank are connected. They are color-coded RCA phono plugs and attach to the bottom of the chassis.

I checked the leads on the amp chassis. They are in the correct sockets.
I guess I'm going to have to get the screwdriver out and pull the tank out and check those connections. Sweetwater opened the box to inspect it. I don't know what they actually inspect seeing that they sent me a broken amp. When they put the Amp back in the box they put it in upside down. I'm guessing that might have something to do with the reverb problem. The box might have taken a good thumping along the way and broke a connection in the reverb tank. I didn't get to tell them about this yet because of the holiday.
I can't send it back because it's a limited edition made with solid mahogany wood. They are all gone already. So I'm going to have to fix it or I'm not going to get another one. I've been playing it all day even though the reverb is broken. I'm using my Digitech Supernatural Reverb pedal with it. The Amp actually sounds awesome. It has a Celestian Alnico Blue in it. It's pouring out some beautiful tones.
Hey guys thanks for the advice. I'm grateful for your kindness and taking the time to write me.

I'd get it back to them and ask for a repair, even if they have to replace all the workings inside the amp they don't have to replace the mahogany case.

Alternatively can't you just take it to a local Fender dealer and have them do the repair under warranty?

Channel 2? No I had it plugged into channel 5.
Come on cut me a break.
$1,500 amp. It's going back.
Too much mass production.
The upside down thing is senseless.
I can see more damage to the chassis happening with that method.
That's all the weight of the combo amp being slammed on the bottom, and you know and I know, UPS and FEDEX are slammin them. Meanwhile I'll be using my Louis Electric Buster.
Over and out,
