if I were going to stripe it at all I would go with like what was on the gt350's and 500's just on the bottom

That's what I had on it before (see pic in "signature" box). That stripe pattern only went to '68 and I wanted something a little more "year-friendly" so I tried the '69 Boss idea.
The car's a run-o-the-mill F code so it's not a rare collector. I'm also a sign maker by trade. I have a large format digital printer and vinyl cutter, so I make all of the graphics myself... so I can do whatever I want.
No stripes?... too plain.

Very nice... (might want to edit that photo and get your phone number out... before I give you a call and see what else you have in the warehouse).
Was that a kit? or did you retire off the sale? :D

Did you use a Fox chassis? That's some sweet stuff! How did the MSD work for you... I've heard mixed reviews. I have Pertronix in mine - no complaints.
When I bought the car it had the original motor (302), but it was rebuilt and tired. It blew up on me one night as I was pulling up to a stop light. Shattered piston, broke the cam, bent rods, big hole in the water jacket, and a rod through the oil pan... all this and I wasn't even going 25mph. Motor was destroyed.
So I found a 351Windsor for sale for $250. Bored .030 (so it's actually a 355 now) and has a marine cam.
Here's what it looked like when I bought it.

Image

I took the nose off the 302 from the timing cover forward and bolted everything onto the 351, had to change the oil pan and oil screen. I used the Holley 600 from the 302 as well.

Image

I got a lottery ticket for my birthday that year and hit for $500... ordered the 2" dual exhaust kit that night.
Paint job was cheap enamel when I bought it too, so it was finally time to fix it.

no it had 2- 4 inch tubes for the frame like the real ones had, all from factory 5. the factory 5 plant is in Wareham, Mass.
its not like the very old kit cars, where you just set a body on a frame from another car,
its built from scratch

i put a stripe on my car when i resprayed it the first time, just because i could. i took inspiration from the Le Mans cars Triumph entered in the '60's.

No Stripe vote here...

The Mustang is iconic and one of the most recognized cars on the road, and with fresh paint, yours is lovely and doesn't need them.

I'm a Porsche/BMW guy (1990 964 (911) Cab, 1976 BMW 2002), though there is a '67 289 Hi-Po Fastback GT in storage.

We see lots of guys 'go graphics' on their Porsches which is really redundant as they are also pretty much instantly recognizable. These guys are usually described as Poseurs.

cheers!

Sweet Cobra !!

I'm interested in the Cobra produced by Kirkham Motorsports - http://www.kirkhammotorsports.com/ Definitely the Best Cobra kit on the market.

The Kirkham Cobra is all-aluminum body unlike the Force Five and others which are GRP. It is made in Poland by a former Soviet MIG Licensee that produced East Bloc Fighter Aircraft for 60 years, so they're expert at working Aluminum.

It's also built on a Tube Frame (SS).

The downside is that it's $70k... a little too much for a car which is just a toy - no top, no storage/hauling space.

But, I keep an eye out for used ones and they can be found for under $50k... Maybe someday !

cheers!
