Just got the car back from the paint shop, PPG Ford Vermillion.
This is an old picture of the car (it hasn't had the "GT" emblems on the center caps since shortly after this photo was taken in 2004 because it's not a GT).
But here's the official ballot question...
Black stripes or white?
The final outcome of this poll may not matter... I'm leaning toward white 8)

Frankie...go with the white. Better contrast with the white, and it goes much better with the vert top. Kind of ties the whole thing together.

Of course, this is an opinion of a Corvette Driver so take it for what it is worth

Hi Frankie! This is a hands down easy one: white stripes.

HTH

Cheers!

Match the top brotha'

Although if you were willing to redo the ragtop, I'd personally go with black. either would look awesome, but the stripes not matching the top would make it look out of place.

always better when the "carpet matches the drapes"

Cool ride Frankie 8) white stripes to blend with the convertible top. The black stripes give your steed a hard/mean look :)

My friend Wayne from the Classic Mustang Forum is the only other vote for the red Mustang... topless and naked.

I usually prefer black stripes on shades of red but in the case of your Mustang the White would be a better contrast because the upper black stripe would blend in with the shadow of the body crease and not be very visible.

if I were going to stripe it at all I would go with like what was on the gt350's and 500's just on the bottom

Make that 3 votes for no stripes Frankie...Classic cars like classic guitars best look is the original look. If it had no stripes before it should have none now.
