I like my BBE Tremor pedal. I've never used another tremolo pedal so I don't know how it stacks up.

.I have a Danelectro Cool Cat Tremolo thast only cost about $50 but it outperforms pedals over twice the price. The Cool Cat can go from just a gentle waver to an intense throbbing.

+1

I am very satisfied with mine. It has also got true bypass , which I find important

Thanks, folks. Bought a TCE Shaker Vibrato. Robert Ward played through a Magnatone amp with built in vibrato on the record. Check out Robert on iTunes.

edited to add: the Deluxe Reverb’s vibrato effect is really a tremolo effect, since it produces volume modulation and not pitch modulation but strings is still correct that it's called vibrato on the pedal.

Maybe that was something they changed over the years? The FDR-1 is based on the 1965 version of the Deluxe Reverb. The control on that amp was labeled 'Vibrato'.

Are you saying this was a misnomer on the original amp? That would be pretty interesting...

Fender made its first glaring misnomer in 1954 when they put the word Tremolo on the headstock instead Vibrato for the vibrato system patent # etc.

I'm looking at the Behringer TP300 as an alternative to the BOSS PN-2 and E-H Stereo Pulsar panning trems. Supposedly it's a clone of the old, discontinued PN-2 and it's about $25!! Behringer products, like those of Danelectro, tend to be hit or miss, but the reviews on this particular pedal are all quite positive. Cannot find one locally to try out, though.

I got the Danelectro Cool Cat on Friday. I am really liking it. Got it for under 35 dollars on Amazon.
