I was just browsing ebay for some good music when the daily bargains popped up on the screen.Among the bargains was one from the Gold Star Coffee Co.,4 lbs. of pure unadulterated whole bean Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee for just over $15/lb. considering that real Jamaican Blue is looked on as a bargain here at $30/lb and is usually over $50/lb.,I jumped on it.This is a legit company that supplies 4 and 5 star restaurants etc. so you can pretty well bank on the fact that itès uncut. They only have limited quanities but if you love great coffee as I do youèd want to get some of this liquid Ambrosia. Now if only they would have a sale on Kona Hawaiian.

I drank that coffee when I was in Jamaica and liked it a lot. Price has kept me away. You are showing us a great deal here. I only drink organic coffees and like the deep, smokey volcanic Sumatrans. My average cost is around 12.00 a pound. I am a coffee snob.

I would be a coffee snob if the wife would let me.

Step 1, Get wife hooked on coffee. Completed
Step 2, Get wife hooked on the good stuff. In Progress...

Guatemalan and Costa Rican coffees are good too as long as they are a dark roast. Those countries have volcanoes too, but they have to be organic. Anything else has a sharp and bitter edge that does not work for me. As a black coffee drinker there is nothing to hide an inferior taste. Once in a while I might add less than a teaspoon of sugar. A whole teaspoon is way too sweet for me. Things like milk and sugar mask the taste of inferior coffees. They lower testosterone levels too.

I wish you success in getting the wife to appreciate good coffee, Matt. Try and get her with three armed/legged/eyed children stories from farmers working in poisoned fields. :D

How do I do that?

Wait, tell her that's where the cheap stuff come from?

I drink Dunkin' Donut coffee so I guess I'm not a coffee snob. A true coffee snob would only drink coffee from beans that have passed thru the anus of a goat.

Is it with goats too? I remember it being some rat (asian cat) looking thing they were doing that with.

If that's where we are going with this, count me out.

As a coffee snob I must inform you of being misinformed. Kinda like the cryo tube thing.
Dunkin Donuts does have good commoners coffee. :P

Making organic snob coffee at home is cheaper than buying it at Shrunkin Nuts.

Modwiz, this might not fit with coffee snobbery, but I have found that microwaving coffee takes away the bitterness, at least to my uneducated pallet it does. :)

It seems like there should be a better way to achieve that without resorting to picking up cat poop. Things like this always make me wonder who got the brilliant idea to try it first?
Anyway, that just makes me feel better that I gave up caffeine about 6 months ago. I was relying on it way too much to get through the day. I didn't think I could survive without it, but I was wrong. It's not that I don't like coffee, but decaf coffee is kind of like non alcholic beer, what's the point? So I just go without.

I agree, did you know that caffine isn't the only stimulant in coffee?
