The main reason I never used standard tuning was because I never could make my fat E sound right. It just always sounded off to me, so I tuned to the same pitch with my A and just went with it and tuned the other 5 strings in standard. I got the bright idea to start restringing with the fat E first and focusing on that and now it sounds better than ever.

anyways, it's 3:40 AM and I just knocked Chasing The Night out of the park.

Probably your guitar just need a set up.

Mostly intonation, but check neck curve first.

It sounds like you had an epiphany. Good luck to you.
I second the motion on a set-up. Those saddles are adjustable for a reason.
Goodonya ...Mark.

Hardly. I'm good at meeting women, but terrible at keeping them around.

Buxom when I saw the title of this thread I thought that you had carried out a DIY neutering.

That was what my little joke was, but, it's not funny if you gotta explain it.

Minnesotastrats-I hadn't read your first post until I saw your response to mine -Iwasn't plagiarizing but thinking along the same lines.

I knew that my friend. :) Buxom, never put yourself down like that. There are plenty of people in this world who will do that behind your back for you.
