Hello people of the Fender lounge! I was interested in visiting the Fender Visitor Center this spring break and was wondering if it is worth the money to fly out there from the Midwest and visit? And what you favorite exhibit or favorite thing was to do there?

Response Much Appreciated, Gavin

I never see this new Fender visitor Center. Was not opened when I visit Leo Fender place ; Fullerton.
Go to the Visitor Center, and visit Fullerton only 22 miles from Corona . You'll see the Fullerton museum with a room with some nice Fender guitar like , Roy Buchanna 's "Nancy " Tele.

Richard R. Smith is the museum curator . He also write a great book ; Fender The Sound Heard Round The world.

Close to Fullerton, If you are lucky as I was, you can have a visit of G & L factory. Small factory very close like Fender was in their first years. Steve Grom , director of manufacturing is a very nice man.

It's not exactly on the coast. If you can gather together an itinerary of other things which might interest you in that part of the state it might make your trip more worthwhile. However, if you have the time and the money for just that one purpose it appears to be an interesting enough curiosity. Besides, your first hand opinion on the 'build your own guitar' feature would be interesting and there's the tour of The Custom Shop as a point of interest as well.
