Hairline fractured my elbow rollerskating, out of commission at least 2 months, did it again years later turning a riding mower over, tossing me in to a ditch....

Long times to be unable to play! Heal up!

If your wrist is still bothering you or is stiff, here's a strange treatment that worked for me twice now, once with my left wrist. I woke up one morning and my wrist locked up completely. I tried the usual over the counter stuff to get rid of the pain/swelling, but nothing happened for 3 days. My wife's aunt is the the queen of homeopathic/old world medicine and kept telling me to cut up an onion really fine and wrap it in some cheesecloth, then put it on my wrist and wrap it up with an Ace bandage. I put her off until I ran out of options (I hate going to the doctor). I left it on overnight and woke up with a normal wrist. I have used it on my hand as well and would not hesitate doing it again. You just gotta deal with stinking like onion for a couple of days.

Weird, but effective!

I broke my wrist (fretting hand) about 3 years ago. It sucked, and your guitar playing goes down a bit over that time with no practice. It's not a fun experience.

I snapped my collar bone in half during my first season of college rugby. It sucked. I couldn't play forever. I tried a few time and did relatively successfully, but I think that might have something to do with it not healing properly.

Best wishes. I hope that you don't have a sprain, fracture or a tear.

Okay, so dog pooped really loose on the long-nap living room carpet.

Cleaning it up, then needed to scrub final stain out.

Had plastic-sponge soaked with carpet cleaner in left hand, on hands and knees. Rubbing vigorously.

Ring and middle finger apparently deep in rug nap, ' pulled back with whole torso.

Ring and middle fingers anchored, great mass of body vs. two small sets of bones and tendons.

Two snaps.

Two fingers hanging very limp......................................................

Hospital. Cast for two months.

Fretting hand.

Be careful of dangerous dog turds.

Don't feel discouraged Jaco Pastorius broke his wrist when he was a kid, it disabled him from playing drums and that is when he discovered bass. you never know, the breaking of your wrist could uncover some hidden talent. :D
