One of my favorite solos by one of my favorite players, Greenie
Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac
I've Got A Mind To Give Up Living / All Over Again

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxgY9eEFiYM

Edit: I've always considered Fleetwood Mac a west coast band, but I guess Greenies version wasn't, so sorry if I messed up this thread.

????

You do realize that there was a Fleetwood Mac before Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, & Lyndsey Buckingham right..??

They're an early '60s offshoot of John Mayall's (London) Bluesbreakers.

A little known and not-so-easy to acquire album they did - Fleetwood Mac in Chicago in '68 is amazing !

I'm not dissing their later stuff at all, but honestly, I'd have likely never heard of them if I hadn't discovered them back when they were singing the Blues...

But, yes... I agree, great solo.. !!

cheers!

Percy Mayfield, a west coast rhythm and blues artist wrote this song:

Hit The Road Jack - Ray Charles and Percy Mayfield - The One And Only

classic west coast blues style, blues and add jazz for flavor

catch this steady rollin' train

Willie Dixon, Memphis Slim, T-Bone Walker...
