For me anyway, I had no idea that US Music Corp was the parent company of Washburn and Marshall as well as some other guitar companies:
http://usmusiccorp.com/

Discovered this looking for this set of bass guitar strings:
40250 DL 4 085/175" 4-string DarkLord Set (.085”.105”.135”.175”) $127,30

been itching to try them for awhile, the price is holding my purchase in check though

I think hydrocortisone is the cost effective way to handle that itch. :D

Hi SBLS: actually, US Music Corp are the North American distributor for Marshall, not their parent company. Marshall are a PLC owned by their shareholders who primarily include the Marshall family.

As it happens, Natal Drums are also owned by Marshall, and about a year ago US Music became the American distributor for them too. And they are the distributor rather than owner of at least some of the other names on that list on their home page too - though I believe they are indeed the owner of the Washburn brand.

Cheers - C

Thankyou Ceri, that is good news. When I saw that web page it made me think of Hanser music, another company that has some decent brand names but doesn't seem to market them very well, I was concerned, now I'm not :D
