Well we aren't out of the woods yet... I heard an arguement sometime ago that due small calculations over a long period the date could be weeks off. Maybe as late as the middle of February.

The Mayan Calendar didn't factor in leap-year, so...the end of the world happened during the summer.

We are well into the Age of Aquarius now!

The only preparation I made for the event was...a new SG and some Harlequin!

I am so grateful people didn't panic.

However, the magnetic pole will shift as it has many many many times. So...when that happens again...oh boy, just like it says in the bible, 3-days of darkness, etc., that's all scientific fact.

The other thing we have to worry about this year is the 11-year sun cycle as our planet passes through the photon belt -- the sun could get super-charged and fry Earth, and that's another scientific fact.

Re pharmaceuticals: There are a lot of pharmaceuticals that when taken regularly in the right doses,prevent some people from going over the edge and initiating killing sprees. Pharmaceuticals are just like many other things-they can be dangerous when abused or taken in excessive amounts but they are indispensable for keeping some people alive or able to have a better quality of life,such as diabetics,people with Parkinson's and Huntington's disease,cancer and AIDS patients,people with mental illnesses-the list is endless.
I have several considerable serious health issues and I can honestly say that if it wasn't for the pharmaceuticals that I am taking I would have ended my life years ago because of incredible pain that caused very deep depression-pharmaceuticals literally saved my life and I'm sure that there are many more with similar life stories.

I have now read the articles,I don't know who this Alex guy is but the impression that I immediately get from him is that he's a sensationalist and fear monger.I absolutely hate guns as they were designed specifically for causing death and I'd never have one in my house even though a lot of my family members and inlaws hunt, so I'm by no means an avid NRA supporter.Judging by the way this guy is spouting off his "facts" he definitely has no in depth knowledge of meds used in the treatment of psychiatric disorders nor does he mention that it was found that in a lot of these mass murder cases the perpetrators were in fact off their prescribed meds for some time.As with that other web site and its stories,they too appeared to be obviously aiming to get people all lathered up and hysterical about meds-anything to generate money by boosting sales.

I have worked in acredited hospitals for over 30 years as a health professional and I have seen first hand that a lot of meds have been practically panaceas to people not only surffering from mental disorders but from epilepsy,spastic tetraparesis and quadraparesis etc. and other profound conditions of the brain and nervous system.I have learned over the years that just because a website or publication looks legitimate because it has a polished and professional appearance,that doesn't mean that what it prints is Gospel truth-and more often than not it's quite the opposite.

If I want an informed observation or opinion on a medical issue I go to the site of an established,respected medical entity such as The Mayo Clinic or some other credible site.
