I highly recommend getting involved in your local community theater group, you get to work with some talented people and there's nothing like playing behind a big group of vocalists singing harmony.

My rig in this clip:

1. Epiphone B.B. King Lucille, 11 gauge strings
2. Ibanez Tube Screamer (TS9)
3. My old Fender Ultimate Chorus solid state amp

The amp was on stage with the band (in the giant jukebox), no mic, behind the performers, volume pretty much all the way up. The result was a kind of cool usable feedback. Check it out:

Nice performance, great sound.
And yeah I hear the bit you mean that wasn't right. I really wouldn't beat myself up over it. The main body of the solo sounded great, it was one note on the run up, which is very fast. You recovered well and that is more important. You didn't let it bother you and carried on regardless.
I think you did a good job. We hear things as guitarists that normal people just don't care about. No one in that audience went home saying "oh that guitarist hit one flat note and the bloke in the sweater of the harmony section was slightly sharp on the 3rds".

That main vocalist is destined for greatness though. Powerful voice there.

Nah, I'm definitely over that hump at this point. Best advice I can give regarding mistakes is to always force yourself to laugh at them. It becomes second nature after a while and keeps you in a good state of mind for the rest of the performance. At rehearsals I'll usually give a little "haha-wheeee!!!!" to keep everyone smiling.

Do you mean the male vocal? I have to agree:

thanks jeebus. I don't think anyone in the world can play Brian May quite like Brian May - lol. I wasn't thrilled that they picked this song at the time because I had about 30 other songs to learn in 2 weeks!
