I've gotten dozens of e-mails like that. I'm planning on buying a small, third world country as soon as all the funds are deposited in my account and then retiring there after rebuilding the country. The bankers tell me it may be a little while longer to get the money as transfers like this are qute complicated. I gave them an extra $100K to try and speed things along.

Yeah, I usually get the ones from a country's leader that is in hiding and needs to use my account to save his fortune while his army retakes the country, or something like that. This is the first "inheritance" one that I've gotten, and is the worst as far as grammar and subject.

I would be willing to bet that there are people that bite on these though. Yes, love that email address.

Someone that I know once paid some company up front to secure a loan for them.

If these schemes were legitimate and I replied to everyone that I've gotten in my SPAM box,I`d have more money than Bill Gates,Richard Branson and Rupert Murdoch combined. These almost always originate in Burkina Faso or Nigeria,two of the poorest and most corrupt countries in Africa.The governments are so corrupt that officials collectively embezzle billions of international aid money that`s intended to help the countries become more self sufficient and they live in incredible wealth and obscene excess while millions starve,live in squalour and literally scavenge garbage dumps to get enough to eat.It`s little wonder that people resort to schemes like these to get money,but then again a lot of these come-ons are the products of organized crime groups,rebel groups, home-grown militias and pirates that are rampant in these countries.

BTW I have a good friend who lives in Ghana and it`s much the same there with the government-they make off with billions of international aid that`s intended for famine relief,building new infrastructure,health facilities,schools etc.
