Not sure if many of you guys know about it but "Pure Guitar" is a new Online Guitar Mag that has been set up by many of the "Old Guard" crew from the long gone days when Guitar Player Magazine was an awesome mag (70's, 80's, till mid 90's). Names like Jas Obrecht, Tom Wheeler, Joe Gore will sound familiar.

Check it out, Issue 1 it looks great and it's Free, no subscription required. :D

Thanks Snowy! The first issue looks cool and I think there's something there for everyone.

Now I know that on-line content is the way of the future, in fact it's already here, and I know that I will have to accept it, but I'm still hopeful that the traditional paper format will not disappear. There's something about turning the pages of a magazine that a mouse click cannot replace.

Cheers!

Yeah, I love real paper magazines too, I still have all my old copies of Guitar Player mag from when I subscribed for years until about 2003 then I stopped because the content went down the toilet I felt. I still do subscribe to Acoustic Guitar Magazine but it's the only one I get now.

Thanks for posting that link Snowy.

I've met with a world class luthier/builder named TJ Thompson
and I believe that he mentioned this new publication as well.

If you google TJ Thompson+Luthier - you can imagine what my
meeting him and visit was like.

Thanks for the link Snowy. I'll have a read later. There's a couple of my favorite subjects covered. Son House, Johnny Winter, exotic plectrums (plectra?) 8)
Goodonya ...Mark.

Thanks for posting Snowy,I was wondering whatever happened to Jas and Tom and several others whose names are so familiar to me.Since I've been reading and subscribing to Guitar Player since the 70s I know first hand how much these guys are dedicated to everything to do with guitar and Tom Wheeler is one of the most respected and knowledgable experts on vintage guitars in the world. This promises to be a first rate publication whether on-line or in print.
