Took me a couple of weekends but here's my latest build, it's a "Landgraff Dynamic Overdrive". Mine is minus the Carbon Comp resistors (minus the $400 price tag too! :wtf), so here's hoping that doesn't kill all the Mojo. It still sounds pretty darn good though.

I decided it's about time I started prettying up my builds so I decided to paint this box add some Blue flamework with my trusty airbrush and a few coats of clear.

Solid wiring job and simple breadboard construction.

I like it!

That's great, inside and out. I like the blue flame motif.

Snowy...nice job with that. I really like your flames very appropriate for a overdrive pedal!

That's great, really cool stuff. I'm gonna build my first pedals next year. I don't have a good quality drill yet for drilling housing. Once i get that i'm gonna start building my own. 8)

What holds the board in place?

Thanks folks,

Gorgon, the board has a piece of foam rubber on the back to insulate it from the pot bodies and it is held by a small strip of double sided tape, but really it would just stay there by itself as the wiring prevents it from moving anyway.

That really looks good. Any sound clips?

Sorry I don't have a soundclip but as a bit of background info it is a Tubescreamer based pedal that's been tweaked. Pretty much a Tubescreamer with more clarity, a bit more Bass and diode clipping selections. It can get cleaner and clearer than my TS808, and dirtier as well.

The toggle selections are:

Down = "Idealised Tubescreamer" Silicon diode clipping (but it uses 3 diodes ("asymetrical clipping") as opposed to a normal TS 2 diodes ("symetrical clipping").
Middle = Diode Lift, fairly clean, clear and loud Boost with just a touch of dirt at minimum Drive setting.
Up = Red Led clipping - Marshally type drive voicing.

Still sounds like a TS, just a nicely "tuned" one, to my ears.

Love your work Snowy 8) really neat and tidy. It's making me thirst to build my first one now!

Very nice work. Where do you find the plans and schematics for your pedals?

This site is a great resource for pedal builds, there's a mind boggling amount of stuff to build.

Yeah that's a cool site there. I can't read those boards though just being a newb at it  With all the resistors and everything removed, what are the red dots inside the white circle signifying? and the black lines? I looked on that site to see if there was any tutorial that explained how to understand the board layouts, but i never saw anything that explains it for beginners :(

The Red dots indicate the circuit connection needs to be broken at that point, the Black lines indicate a "jumper" connection you need to make. Here's a pretty good tutorial that spells it all out very well. This site also has some great projects.

Next build I might do a step by step on here starting from scratch. Once you get the basics down and figure your own way of doing a build it really opens up a whole new hobby.

Cheers,

Snowy
