Thanks, everyone. I can't wait to get back to work. Getting up at 6:00 am. Fighting rush hour traffic. Dealing with idiot bosses and cranky customers. Geez how I missed it all.

Oh, I'll still be posting, just not during the day like I have been. I've decided that after I pay off all of our bills with my remaining severance, if I have enough left over I'm gonna build another amp. I'm thinking 5E3. :D

I have been tutoring myself on some details after crashing a burning on schematics and jargon. So now I know that a 5E3 is build type E and that it is a Deluxe? The year is 1965? Spent over 12 hours reading all sorts of things. Previews ar Amazon of some of the books you suggested was helpful. Tone of Soul was very interesting. They chopped pages at inopportune times, but it was still informative and fun reading.

BTW. Congrats on your matrix gig. Rush hours would have me slitting my wrists. Thanks again for the generous offering of your time and knowledge.

It is 9:00 AM here. Even though it is saturday , I was called out for work . During the night it has been a snowstorm , and the roads are only partly opened. So I had to shovel away tons of snow , and managed to get to my work , only to find out that it was all called off. The pleasures of work  . In fact I have been fighting the snow for 2-3 hours , but I managed to get home safe :!:

Good to hear you are planning a new build ! If you get started before me , I will surely follow it with the greatest interest .
Cheers from my cup of coffee :D
BTW - much better results to the doc yesterday , so my spirit is quite a bit better

Here is Northern Virginia/DC Metro area, we become paralyzed with more than a few inches of snow. 2010's "Snowmegedden" shut the area down for a week.

Glad to hear your doc brought you some good news. That's a nice Christmas present. :D

That's excellent news, and just in time for the holidays.
Congratulations!

Didn't think I had that right. That was the question mark. Thanks for the correction. Congrats on your job once more.

Congratulations!
Hope the contract lasts a long, long while!
I used to work in contract oriented manufacturing and they usually went for 3 to 5 years. Often another followed on its heels.
Good luck,

Unfortunately, the job I have is only for a year. Hopefully my new company will be more proactive in helping me move to a new job than the company that laid me off was. My old company basically said "You're on your own. Good luck".
