I can't post a link with my cellphone, but it's easy to find out on the web or in the news. He was a true world wide master musician, teacher and ambassador of culture. Condolences to the loved ones.

Thanks to George I was turned on to Ravi's beautiful music when I was just 12 or 13 and I have loved it ever since and have a good few of his recordings.George used to refer to Ravi as the world's greatest living musician and from listening to him and watching incredulously as he played at such amazing speed and and with such meticulous precision,I'd be the first to agree with that.God Bless You Ravi.

He has another musical daughter. Anoushka Shankar is a sitar player and composer. She's "only" been nominated for 2 Grammy awards but hasn't won one (yet).
