I listed the stock speaker from my Blues jr. on Craigslist for 40 bucks. Guy calls me and asks if I'll take 30 bucks and I say sure. So he wants to meet me at a supermarket near my house. I say ok and meet him there. I give him the speaker, he says here's 35 instead and drives off. I was very puzzled.

The fellow you met was a complete mastermind. He had planned to offer $30 initially knowing fully well he would meet you in the middle at $35 in the end, no matter what. By sticking to this guns he gets to come off as a nice guy to somebody else.

Slightly off-topic, but a number of years ago when I was heavily into black and white film photography (Raise your hand if you know what "film" was. ), I wanted a wooden 4x5 field view camera. I found one in the local paper (Al Gore hadn't invented the Internet yet.  ) advertised for $1000 for a complete kit including the camera, three lenses, filters, film holders, wood tripod, case, etc. I met the seller at his home, all set to bargain the price down (I was hoping to get it for around $750 - $800. ). Long story short, he took the camera out of the case, put a lens on it and set it on the table in front of me. I took one look at it and handed him a check for $1000. :D A number of years later when I switched to digital, I sold everything for $1500.

Have you decided on a replacement yet?If not you should give the Celestion Vintage 30 and the G-12 Greenback 25W consideration.I have a V-30 in my old '66 Traynor GuitarMate and a 25W Greenback in my Vox AC-15 and both are incredible speakers. I have read a lot of reviews from people who have put the V-30s in Blues Jrs. and have found that they make a tremendous improvement in the overall tone and performance.

I replaced the stock speaker with a cannabis rex, pretty happy with it and put the amp into a pine cabinet sound awesome. :)

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Eminence speakers are great ! I have the Rajun cajun in my Frontman 25r and it turned that amp into a true tone monster. I even sent Fender a email suggesting that they should make those speakers a part of those amps. I got a response back from them last week telling me that they would look into it.
