Good stuff. I normally do not associate Fender with the Beatles, so this was all good discussion points, I think. Other than Harrison's Rosewood Tele and the prominent use of Fender Twins in "Let It Be", I don't recall much use of Fender gear with the Beatles.

I do recall Eric Clapton's story of purchasing 6 Strats in Nashville and parting our his "Brownie" and "Blackie" and then giving the others away to friends like George Harrison. So, I always thought that was the Fender connection... I do remember the footage of George playing a Strat during "Imagine" sessions (slide on How Do You Sleep?, is that right?)

Anyway, thanks for the background on the '61 Sonic Blue's. Great photo, too.

George also played a Strat for some of the songs at his Concert For Bangladesh back in the early 70s.
