 I just so happen to like DiMarzio cables. Which brand do you like best?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Spectraflex for me.

Bought my main one about 18 years ago, and it's suffered more abuse than I can think, including having massive PA stands stood on it, run over by a van, immersed in various liquids, and generally twisted, stepped on and tortured. Not one single problem, and I know that when that time finally comes, I can still get it replaced with a new one, no questions asked. I'll be sad if it dies, as I've had it so long and done so many gigs and sessions with it that it's become almost a good luck charm.

It also introduced a bass player to the world of decent cables by making him do a double take at his rig when he nabbed it to soundcheck with one day instead of his usual generic cheapo cable, and suddenly everything sounded twice as clear as it usually did.

I'd say the new 20' Stagg Heavy Duty cable I got is really great.

I always liked Proco Lifelines. They're supposed to be guaranteed for life (thus LIFElines), but I've never had one break on me. I lose them before I break them.

Whichever one doesn't pop, hiss or split.

So far, that includes the Fender cable which came with my Am. Vtg., a Custom Shop braided cable and Mogamo.

It does not include GC, or Musicians Friend (I got these (new) with a used amp I bought and they're terrible - unusable).

I'm still reeling from sticker shock on all the Guitars, amps and accoutrement I've acquired in just the past 3 mos. so it'll be a while before I look to spend mega-bucks on some premier cables.

But that day will come, so I look forward to seeing everyone's input here.

cheers!

Home brewed Belden - easy to make, fix and works great.

I've been using Road-Hogs by Rapco for about 20 years now and I find them to be indestructable. They are very high quality and there is never any static or noises from them.I use them for instruments and use their speaker cables too.If these cables ever die I wouldn't think twice about buying more but these current cables aren't showing any signs of wear at all after 20 years so the probability of having to buy more is slim considering the service that these have given me.

Planet Waves cables have been what I've been using for the past couple of years. They're probably not the best out there but they certainly get the job done. 8) Lifetime warranty, too.

I like the one I got from Fender with my Tele. I do have some really nice fabric ones I like from Seismic Audio and the prices are great.
Here is one like the Fender except 20 ft. 11.49 is a great price. 4 for 33.99 Free shipping too.

Their fabric ones look like this: 18 ft for 14.99 or 3 for 29.99 (except blue)

I like the woven ones. 18 feet is nice length. The 10 ft Fender is very nice in a small room. This company has cable in all kinds of lengths and colors and inputs.

I'm a fan of Mogami personally, but they're effing expensive... Just over $60 for a 25' cable. Worth it in my experience though... great cables!

There is such a thing as being too faithful to a brand but I believe fender's cables to be the cables of choice. They are cheap but the quality is excellent. I never went 2 weeks without having to buy a new lead, even after coiling them the right way and storing them carefully in a protected case (even with some of the really expensive ones!). Last time I ran out of spares I bought a Fender cable with little more than a tenner to my name and I've been gigging with them for months now.
