Of course one could transfer the two with some clippers and glue. They'll never know, I'm sure. 8)

When you had to walk 5 miles to school barefoot in the snow up hill both ways. I'm surprised no one mentioned that yet.

When you remember there being only one Led Zeppelin album, only one Black Sabbath. When you paid $5.50 for a show at the Filmore East and Black Sabbath was opening for Rod Stewart and the Small Faces.

Black Sabbath was #2 of 3 opening bands. Don't remember the 1rst band.
3 bands for $5.50 and one was Black Sabbath.

Oh yeah, there was a thing called the draft. They could just send you to war.

They had the draft during the first Gulf War. I remember I had to register for it when I turned 18. I was 19 or 20 when the first war with Iraq broke out and I remember wondering if it would get to the point like Viet Nam and be drafted. I'm the youngest of 6 siblings (born in December of 1971), whom the oldest was born in 1954, so I kind of remember the 60's vicariously through them so a lot of these things are oddly familiar, even slightly before my time.

The draft in the USA ended in 1973. Draft registration for 18-year-olds continues.
There was a move to stop registration during the Clinton years. He supported keeping the practice calling it a "low cost insurance policy".

You know you're getting old When Blondie opened for the Ramones who just got signed. Blondie was not signed and had no albums out. Yes, we still had vinyl.
This was at Max's Kansas City in NYC. I played there a few months later with a no-name band and ended going home with a bunny from the Playboy Club on 59th street. No more Max's or Playboy Club.

When you have a garage sale and some teenager looks at a box full of vhs and cassette tapes and asks you what they are.

when someone refers to a guitar that was made in the same year that you bought your first car as "vintage"
