... when 50 cents at the local Paramount theater paid for an all-day movie pass, popcorn and a soda.

Yes, I'm showing my age here - thanks a lot for starting this thread (sarcasm). I feel older with each entry.

And my tired, aging brain is coming up with more personal history examples all the time.

......when you know the next time you decide to have cereal for breakfast it's probably not going to be as crispy maybe a tad soft, so, when putting it back you try to get as much air out as humanly possible to "preserve the crunch" so to speak, at this point cellotape seems the perfect answer, but, can you find the edge just to pull that little piece off you need, nope you must be joking, in the end you decide upon two clothe's pegs does the trick

...when certain food packaging has in plain english how to open said packaging ie pull hear to open, you know it really means get the scissors........and a bit of cellota....DUH !!!!

....sure I've said this before, when the young attractive hairdresser near the end asks if you req'r those eyebrows trimmed while she's at it.

Hi CR Guitarman, you're never too old for guitar, hence you should never sell them.I would never sell any of my guitars-although I have sold a few amps-selling a guitar is like selling a body part.I have all my gear willed to my uber-talented nephew and to my cousin's incredibly gifted grandson who I bought a guitar and amp for about 3 months ago, that way my legacy stays in the family.Since your grand kids play you could motivate them to stay involved with guitar by putting a clause in your will that you will leave your gear to the ones who exhibit a constant and avid interest in the guitar. This could be incentive enough to get them to really put their noses to the grindstone.

... when the checkout person at the grocery store asks if you need help loading your groceries into your car.

... when the waiter at your favorite restaraunt gives you the senior citizen's discount without asking.

... when you go to the "early bird special" for dinner after waking up from your afternoon nap.

... when your wife wants to get frisky and you can't find your bottle of blue pills.

... when you go to the much anticipated reunion concert by your favorite rock band and the batteries in your hearing aids die.

... when you go to the much anticipated reunion concert by your favorite rock band and you realize that what you thought were in-ear monitors being worn by the band are really hearing aids.

... when you go to the much anticipated reunion concert by your favorite rock band and you pray that the lead singer keeps his shirt on and buttoned up.

... when you go to the much anticipated reunion concert by your favorite rock band and you wish that muscle t's were illegal to be worn by anyone over 50 years of age.

... when the amount of time it takes for your dog to sniff every smell on his afternoon walk takes less time than it takes you to do the entire walk.

... when you still haven't figured out how to stop the clock from blinking on your VCR.

... when you don't get Jay Leno's jokes.

I got a million of 'em folks.

...when size and weight are the primary consideration in that amp purchase.

...when your ears can't tell the difference between a Jensen and a Weber.

Here is an age test?
Not sure how popular these were overseas, but in North America they have a lot of good memories! :D

When you think distortion is noise.

When your skeered to fart.

When you listen to AM talk radio in your truck.

When you give up mountain biking in fear of getting hurt.

When you think young girls are annoying because they talk too much.

When you vote for John Wayne.

When you remember that you could hop up a Briggs and Stratten on your Taco 44 Mini Bike.

LOL! Yeah, I remember hanging those suckers on the windows of that '56 Chevy.

I haven't even seen the remains of a drive-in theater in decades around here.

I hear you, but at 70+ guitars, 45+ amps and four complete PA systems of varying sizes, I think I can afford to part with some of them. When the kids come over and just stand there shaking their heads in the Music Room, it's probably time to start thinning the herd.

And much as I love my guitars and amps, I don't want to haul all of this stuff when I move back to the land in 2-3 years.
