oh come on!! basses and drummers are the best!! unless they're like over the top! lol ne way, between the two choices I say the guitarist. Guitars are just so awesome, and without the guitarist then where would the guitar be? ya know...and singers are cool too, but guitars top that!! :P

sigh, us poor forgotten keyboard players - - that's why I took up the guitar many years ago. Now I'm versatile! 8)

Ladies prefer those who don't ask weird questions like this on internet forums...J/K, but seriously I'm sure they do

If you're really worried about it, learn to sing and play guitar and you'll have your bases covered, then maybe you'll find a lady that will let you around her bases...

AMEN brother!

I have noticed that (in my life) when I played outside in the park or the dorm in the USAF more women looked my way; some came over to me and sat down, listened and I guess were waiting for me to talk to them; sometimes I was too shy or just thought she liked the music but I have learned much since then. Some even knocked on my door and sat in the room all evening pouring beverages and just sitting there watching my hands; a woman thing I think.
IMHO women like men that can express themselves; and music is an expression. They can sense depth of feeling (us men might call that passion) in a man and his music, ESPECIALLY the music coming out of his guitar; remember they are intuitive and "see more" into things than we do.
Just because they approach you DOESN'T mean they want to sleep with you so keep cool and talk to her with respect; ALWAYS. Showing respect will make way more points than assuming you're about to hit a home run. Having said that I did know some (a minority for sure) that must have been possible groupie types; they thought (to quote Carlos) that if I "can move her spiritually that I can move her physically (with the same depth of feeling or what ever) the same way"; (Sorry if I messed that up but I think it'll pass muster) some women are really enticed by a man's hands on the neck. Watch Teddy or like guitarists...
The guitar has gained a lot of power (for lack of a better term) in our culture; even in the hands of women. Look at Heart or other rock bands featuring women. I think it's pretty cool they have the opportunity to play what has become pretty much a man's instrument and are equal to the task. I really admire the passion of Heart even though I'm not a BIG fan I sure went to those free concerts they did back in the days...
Sorry if I wandered on that but it seems germain to the issue and I felt it needed to be said.

For some reason while reading through this message string, I'm reminded of the lyrics of Brad Paisley's song, 'Alcohol'. And no, I'm not drinking.
