NPD P for phone.

The other day I recived a letter from a company that offers massdiscount on products and services offering a 20% discount on Samsung Calaxy SIII (the post had was also offering 17% discount on iPhone 5 and and 24% on Playstation 3) setting the price down to 88.000 ISK (702 USD) from 110.000 ISK (877 USD), in comparison the iPhone 5 was 147.000 ISK (1173 USD) with the discount. (DAMN YOU 25,5% TAX  ).

So after looking at some reviews online I decided to jump on it.

I went today before work to pick it up, charged the battery and tried to put the sim card in only to discover that I need micro sim card in it :D  and it's was to late for me to run out to Vodafone to get one. So now I have to wait until after work on Sunday to try it out :( . Well atleast I have something to look forward too :? :D

Congrats , Jòn....? (If I remeber right :) ) Maybe you get some more work done as you did not manage to get the phone up and running! I'm happy that I don't have to work during the weekend. (Well , perhaps I should do some paperworks :| )
Have a nice weekend - and enjoy your phone as soon as you get the sim :D

Hi Nonni: it's a sleek phone for sure. But lummy - what a price! Gosh.

You must really need that espresso coffee function it comes with. I mean, at that price it does make coffee, doesn't it...?

Ah well: at least it does phone calls. Or it will do. Eventually...

...Seriously dude, it looks neat. 8) I'm strangely tempted myself, and that's saying something.

Enjoy - C

Wow, you pay a lot for electronics over there. I have the Samsung Galaxy Sll, we paid $.99 for them because we were going to switch our 7 phone account and the company offered us new phones for less than a dollar, to stay. I'm not a big gadget kind of guy, but these phones are pretty neat.

the company i work for is eventually going to force feed me a computer phone. NOOOOOOOOOOO! i can barely use my new flip phone and just recently started texting. i guess some day soon i will have to be a computer phone person. i'm dreading it but i am already preparing myself. lots of neck exercises being introduced to the workout routine. everyone i know who owns one is always looking down at their phone.
that has to make your neck sore or is there an app to remedy that stuff?
congrats on your computer phone.

I have an iPhone 5 and its just a joy to use. The video quality is top notch also. Sure Apple to limit you somewhat with what you can compared to other OS but for me the usability more than makes up for it.

I average about 12 minutes a month on my cell. For almost 50.00 a
month it's a rip off. I'm a man with no roots now, so it keeps me connected and lets me give a phone number when I order some new gear online. :D

Hi Snowjoe: my wife's iPhone has great picture quality. But the other day her nephew showed us video on his Galaxy III and the image quality was just extraordinary - something else again! I never before got the idea of watching TV on a phone but now I see the point. It really was very good!

I guess one of these days even I shall give in and become one of those people you see sitting on the train watching movies on their phones. But I'm fighting to keep that day as far off as possible...

Cheers - C

Indeed that's another exceptional phone. For me I have so many apple products that I may as well keep it in the family. The cloud services are brilliant. I have my whole 150gb music library on my phone via the cloud. Couple that with my unlimited Internet and I can get all my music all the time without taking up space on be phone. Plus I love how your photos and videos get sent right back to your laptop. I love the smartphones too. I have apps for Sonos and Control 4 so with my phone control the music tv home cinema heating and lights all with my phone. It's madness!

I bet the Americans here would cry at the amour of usage we get for put money over here. I know when I lived in Canada the tariffs were extraordinarily high!

Or just trim yours to size, works perfectly, as they're electronically the same, just the size of plastic varies. That's what I did with my SIII.

Unfortunately in the iPhone 5 it's the newer even smaller sim, and unlike the one that went before it the actual size of the chip in it is smaller so you can't even trim it down.
