Five years ago a wonderfully vivacious, stunningly beautiful 28 year old mother of a two year girl was brutally murdered. Her estranged, abusive husband was the only suspect and rightfully so from what all who knew them said.It took 2 years for them to collect enough forensic evidence etc. to officially charge him.Today at his trial the judge acquitted the SOB because some incompetant, neglectful, idiot of a police investigator somehow bungled the collection of some of the main evidence and the judge threw it all out essentially ruining the case it took five years to build against him.Needless to say the murdering bastard was acquitted. Her aunt was in the court room and became so hysterical that the poor woman collapsed and had to be rushed off in an ambulance.

The chief of police was questioned after and naturally he appeared frustrated tosay the least basically that they know without a doubt that her estranged husband did it.What really enraged me besides his acquittal was when they interviewed one of his lawyers after he has no doubt as smug as could be and said that the legal team believed in his innocence all along.I can picture them all in his law office tonight along with their murderous client, slapping each other on the back.

If you go to http://www.cbc.ca/hereandnow you may be able to view it-that is as long as they don't allow their webcasts to go outside of Canada.Another option would look in our local paper's website where the story will be printed in the morning http://www.thetelegram I know this isn't music related but something like this fiasco should be exposed to as many people as possible.

And what of the police investigator that screwed up?
What happened to him?

We have a somewhat similar incident about a government drug lab employee that has botched 10's of thousands of cases.
