really glad you like the new cd. if you have any time to waste go to you and search jim root and watch one of the gear videos. guy seems really down to earth and uses really cool fenders. i can handle slipknot but this band is more my style. absolutely amazing guitar work.

I'm a newbie and my ear isn't good enough to identify the chords, so what are the "4 chords"

They are the 1, 5, 6 and 4 chords of any key.

The 1 chord is the root of the key you are using, so if you want to play this is G then the 1 chord is Gmaj. Then (for any key) it's a whole step from the (root) 1 chord to the 2 chord, another whole step to the 3 chord, a half step to the 4 chord, a whole step to the 5 chord, a whole step to the 6 chord, a whole step to the 7 chord and from there a half step will take you back to the 1 chord.

So G would be 1-Gmaj, 5-Dmaj, 6-Emin, 4-Cmaj

It's such a nice progression, I prefer the C G Am F route myself!
