Hey ... I'm not having much luck in the amplifier section so, I thought I'd bring it here.
I'd like to step down in power from my HR DeVille (60w) to a nice 40w size amp head and I must say the Bandmaster VM has intrigued me for quite awhile.

I cannot buy an amp without running it through my own set of tortures so, I come to you to get reports or sound clips or anything. Utube videos are pretty useless like the one from Greg Koch (amazing performance) and the marketing guy from Sweetwater. I need to hear something unprocessed and assaulted with my own hands before I drop $700 bucks on it.

What's up with this amp??? Either it's so darn good nobody wants to sell theirs or - it sucks so bad, nobodys' even bought one. I don't see 'em in stores, in bars, on Craigslist ... what can ya tell me???
My DeVille has been on stage for 2-3 nights a week almost every week of the last 10 years and has NEVER let me down. I just wanna bring down the volume because I bought a nice new PA and I want it to do the work. Furthermore, I'd like to lose the foot pedals for the built-in ones on the VM.

As James Brown woulda said ... "Ugh .... HEP ME" :!: :!: :!:

I bought a used one a couple of years ago. A friend had it and was in some financial straights, so I bought it just to help him out. I have personally used it very little. I like the clean channel, and haven't really played the drive channel enough to judge it, except that it gets noisy fast. I much prefer to add a little edge to tone with pedals.
The effects are okay, but again, I have pedals I prefer to use.
I am involved with a Sound company that provides services for community events, high school shows, etc. and often take it with me in case someone needs an amp. It doesn't seem particularly fragile, but I never throw in in the back of the equipment truck.

Search out user "lpdeluxe". At one time he had one in his stable, paired, I think, with a ceramic mag 15" speaker.

If you are interested in a cheap one, send me a pm.
