How can I use my Envoy 110 to power a halfstack? I took some photos of all of my hookups.

Need better quality photos. Can't see a thing in any of them.

looks like you would have to wire a speaker out and make sure the half-stack is the same ohms or less for solid state. Double check me on the ohms thing. I think with SS it's the same ohms or less and with tube it's the same or more. I could have it backwards.

Edit: Did you ever measure the output on that invader? Just curious what it would be. I've been looking for a neck pickup with good treble response. The invader looked like a cool find.

I think the halfstack is 8, and the Envoy is 8 as well. Would I literally take the wires and plug them into the speaker on the prongs on the back?

yea, that's one way. Unplug the speaker in the combo and run that output to the cab. If they are both 8 ohms, you should be good to go. What are the hookup options on the cab?

I wouldn't try it.

Unless your amp is designed to run extra speakers through an external speaker plug, you might be putting too much load on the PCB.

Not that I know these things, I read it somewhere.

If the ohms are the same, what is the difference between one speaker or another? Given the wattage is not an issue.

Plus, I think the wires might be soldered in the cab. Don't blame me, blame KMD.

If I can't work something with this, I'm going to get a 2x12 and try it through that. That might be the best option for this. This amp just sounds really good, but one 10" speaker isn't loud enough to jam with. It just doesn't cut it.

If you really like the amp, you may consider an upgrade for the speaker inside it. You could get a 10" replacement that is louder than your stock speaker. Or maybe a 12" if it would fit. The way they make speakers one 10" can be much louder than another from the same source. But it could change the sound some as well. good luck.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, I am far from an amp expert and honestly know very little about them except from what I read on the internet. But from what I understand is, if your pushing more air, your putting more strain on your circuit board.

here is what I was referring to, a speaker designed to be louder.

I was not trying to be smarta$$, I was wondering if I was wrong. I'm no expert either, but I think the ohms is the amount of strain on the amp - for lack of a more educated way of putting it.

Sorry. You posted while I was typing to Buxom and my post was not directed towards you.

Like I said, I am no expert on the subject. But I know basic electronics. More amp draw=more strain.
