The other day I was in my regular music store Reid Music looking/drooling over their inventory of stomp boxes when I saw a wah wah pedal that was new to me,the T-Rex Gull wah. This pedal is supposed to be extremely adjustable and adaptable but is patterned after the sounds of 2 classic pedals-the original Vox Clyde McCoy and the original pre-Dungplop Jen Cry Baby.Even though I have both models in their original form I want to spare them from constant use so that I can get many more years from them.I was looking all over the US music stores for the price and the lowest I could find was Guitar Center and American Music Supply at $249 but Reids is selling them at $229,this is a switch because the reverse is usually the case.

I mentioned the wah and the price to the missus and she didn't blow a fuse,so things are looking OK so far.

T-Rex seems like a really nice company. I am looking for a new OD to drive my tele through an AC15 and am considering the T-Rex Gristle King. Just wish there was one around here that I could try out before dropping the cash..

I thought the Vox was your X-mas present!

I think your wife is a lot less difficult to convince than you would like us to believe.

The Vox was originally supposed to be for a Christmas gift but when the Missus said that it was a bit pricier than what she had in mind,I decided to sell my Blues Jr. and raid my Piggy bank and got the AC-15.I couldn't have waited until Christmas anyway...lol.

Hi Alan,I have several E-H pedals, some of them for over 40 years.Even though I haven't tried the new Crying Tone pedal,I've watched the demos on the E-H website. They aren't bad but not near as good as the original Crying Tone pedal from the mid 70s was.I had one and was blown away by it as it had a 4 position wah function so you could get the Jen Cry Baby or Vox wah effects plus 2 more, you could also reverse the wah to get an Ow! sound plus it also doubled as a volume pedal.I've read nothing but positive reviews of the T-Rex Gull pedal so that is pretty well my first choice, unless of course I could luck into a Teese RMC Picture Wah for the same price.Cheers.
