Well, yesterday, the Gibson forum member's pickup came in the mail. I got right on it. Me, being the poor sack o' $@!& that I am, I didn't have anything to test the pickup with. (a set of strings)

I just got the bright idea to hold my other guitar's strings over the pickup when it was on, and yes, it does work. Even with the screwdriver test, it has a deeper popping sound than my Telecaster's stock bridge pickup. I need a set of strings so badly

I've been in the "too broke to buy strings" position too many times in my life not to help someone else out of the same situation when I have the chance. This is the last pack I have from before I switched over to Ernie Ball Cobalts. I'll never use 'em, you might as well take 'em... besides, you need to hear that new pickup.
