I even went as far as donating $35 towards the costs of finishing it and will receive a digital copy of it when done. It looks so good that I couldn't resist.

They have a long way to go if they really have to raise another $60,000 in 37 days. I think they might be better off tapping some of the stars in the movie to get the rest of the money - those "stars" could donate $1,000 each and solve the funding problems in a heartbeat, plus they'd get good publicity and great kharma at the same time.

Telling potential donors that if they don't get another $60,000 in another 37 days that the film will never be released is not good marketing.
