c'mon Mike you start saying what you want to pay and you cancel out everything I referred to in the price area. read the thread, look for my references to price then let Brad and Fender come up with the final word. this can happen AND be affordable for everyone here.

Rollie, this ain't my 1st rodeo and just trying to keep it real. Yes, I've been in touch with Brad, and really just trying to see if this will actually happen or not...don't shoot the messenger, bro...just trying to keep it real.

I won't make anymore comments until we hear from Brad now.

This can work...but it takes some "realistic" visibility.

If memory serves, those shirts are also. There was a final offer for purchase and then Brad shipped out the excess.

I think the only fair way to determine the price is to randomly draw a number between:

negative 100,000,000 and positive 1500.

Whatever happens, happens, man. That's just life.

THAT!!! Baby stuff... Like roses on Valentine's Day.

I've been in the OR with a guy his face half gone courtesy of a shotgun, helped cut a guy out of his clothes after he was struck by a train, and a chest cracked for open heart massage after a drug dealer took a bullet over his heart among others.

That ankle...sweeeeet! Heal fast, my friend.

WOW. My last post was a while ago. I never received any updates so I thought the thread was dead. I need to come here a bit more often I guess. Anybody else not receiving notifications for updates to threads?

I think at this point a vote needs to come into play. We need to vote on:

#1 Price Range--Once this has been established we can see who is still in.

#2 Body Style--Once this has been established we can see who is still in.

#3 Body Material-- Once this has been established we can see who is still in.

#4 Body Color-- Once this has been established we can see who is still in.

You see where this is going? I am still game for an endeavor that includes ideas taken from our Forum Members. Perhaps Brad can set up one poll and tack it on the Forum Index page. Put a week or two for our forum members to submit their vote (only 1 vote per member). Leave the results blank until the end then post the results with the next poll. Then all those that are still interested can vote on the next item. Just remember the more special items we add to it, the more it will cost.

There's a threshold number, where Fender is concerned, which we still have yet to learn. The more favorable the cost, better shot we have.

I agree, I was trying to recommend a way to figure this out. Once we find out who wants one, we can see if this threshold has been met. The other option if for Brad and the good guys at Fender to provide a concept of the guitar with an estimated cost to build. At this point I would be happy with a stock design with something that identifies it as the Forum guitar. I am still willing for a guitar in the "up to 1000 dollars-range."

I expect that once Brad clears his desk of some of the high priority business matters he's presently handling, he'll be abale to weigh in on this and get it rolling.

I have not voted in the poll. Mainly because there is no category for “depends on the guitar”. Ultimately that is what it would come down to for me. Although you guys seem to have it narrowed down, it would still seem to come down to the final design for most people I would think. I would most definitely be interested in an FSR Esquire. But not one with a Bigsby on it. Seems to contradict the whole simplicity of an Esquire. Just my opinion.
