Phew! There's nothing like dissing other Forum user's guitars to spoil the atmosphere in the room.

What then makes it a Forum Lounge guitar and distinguishes it from any other FSR they've done?

As you can tell, I like the Esquire idea as well, but with some changes. I think the black pickguard should be vintage single-ply bakelite. It would be nice to have the tops of the knurled knobs, and neckplate eched with the Fender Lounge Logo. In addition, a large Fender Lounge inlay on the first fret, and black dot makers along the fretboard. I think this will be subtle, and cost effective. I also would like the body to be one or 2 piece of "light weight" swamp ash.

Here again, introducing specifications which would likely up the cost.
I again urge simplicity.

LOL! That's okay, ZZDoc. We're just tossing ideas back and forth, keeping the thread alive. I have a feeling that Brad is going to chime in any minute now.

Cheers!

Didn't really read all 22 pages of posts but I would like to add that I would be interested in purchasing a "Lounge" type Telecaster guitar. So.....who's in charge of taking my order? 8)

Hi Beaubs. I always enjoy your Saturday morning post in the Lounge. :)

It's a little premature to be placing an order but I like your positive attitude! As for a Tele, ... hmm... I'm rooting for a Strat but who knows, maybe we'll have both and the Esquire as well.

Cheers!

When you have #4 out of 63 on neckplate with a COA signed by Brad.

Now therein lies the germ of another idea if cost is a factor :!: A custom neck plate one can put on any guitar.

Probably a more practical idea as the big question will be price and delivery for our international forum users. :)

have to rethink the Tele because the logo clearly has an image of a Strat. Oh dear

Here is an idea

American Special Strat FSR- Ash body HSH routed, Butterscotch Blonde Finish, Bakelite Pickguard, Black Hardware, S/S/S Texas Special pickups... ??

NO forum logo on pickguard- just a forum neckplate that is numbered.. :?:

I'm beginning to feel stronger about either a peel off logo, or a logo engraved neck plate. There's just too many variations in the instrument designs.
