If we take the logo guitar literally, it would have to have a trem cover, red dot markers, no nut and come with a dry martini the size of a satellite dish.
(sorry, I'm just keeping the thread alive. I really like the Esquire)

Here's a very basic Strat. I'm not sure what it is exactly.

OK, I'm done for now Image

Well, its not a Strat. Appears to be a Musicmaster.

Esquire, sorry - not a tele like I said. Doh! I do like the look of it, don't get me wrong. The logo just looks awkward to me, it dominates what is otherwise a simple and very functional design. But, I also agree the logo needs to be on there somewhere and somehow. Engraved on the neck plate, or the pick cover, maybe? Or a waterslide under the laquer on the headstock? Or a combination of all of them?

I don't have an esquire, but could find an excuse for getting one...

+1.

I have to agree, it's pretty loud on the pickguard. I'm assuming this will be a 1 ply bake-olite guard and well..

Otherwise this is looking baddass... I'm really excited about the Esquire!! First mod will be a SD pearly gates tele bridge pickup with coil tap switch  and that bigsby.. It's gonna be cool!! :D

Cool, I'm happy to keep talking about the Esquire.

Can they do a nitro finish on a Squier?
What sort of neck profile did the originals have?

A little badge like the 60th Anniversary ones would be my choice of logo.
A swimming pool route would appeal to more customers as far as doing mods goes.
I'm also hoping to get a good deal for shipping Downunder.
Just a few thoughts.
Goodonya ...Mark.

This has to be a 'one size fit's all' design, as simple as possible, due to cost, which is why I'm recommending applying SK's design concept to a Squier guitar as a jumping off point for costing out. There's no doubt that each of us has preferences with regard to guitar and specs, but with a large run, that's going to be a tall order. If it's going to be a guitar, The KISS [Keep It Simple, Stupid]principle has to operate here, otherwise I'd move to do a simple 'stick-on/peel off' which everyone can place where it would suit them best.

Consider this...

Say Fender changes the Lounge Forums logo in the future (these things do happen) - wouldn't just a cool guitar without any logo in a special limited run be just as cool? :?:

A plain Esquire (special run with a x out of xx on it) would work fine for me...what say you?

That'd be OK, and back a few pages, Brad mentioned a signed COA which came with the previous Fender Lounge guitar 8)

I agree! Also, since Brad is the moderator and this is a 'forum guitar' then he should be the one to sign these certs..

I think that is fair and I'd personally like him to have some contribution also. After all, I think he does a stellar job moderating these forums. Also, he is an awesome dude :)

Keeping the dream alive.

Too right. Brad's a fair dinkum top bloke, as we say down here.

I have many excuses.

If SK gets the first one, I'm going to need guitar number 13 thanks

Brad: voted Fair Dinkum Moderator of the Year.

I like it.

This is a good point, by the way. If this thing ever happens it has to be a numbered edition, right? I'm putting my name down for 007: that s/n is now officially BAGGED. 8)

Gosh, those tuners are crooked. Did Fender really install those? I doubt it. (Apologies if that's your guitar, boxbang...)

Lovin' the look, though! :D

Cheers - C
