Party Pooper! LOL!
If this idea ever comes to fruition, the specs would be based on votes.

First you have to decide what specs to vote on.

I think what happened when I saw this being done before was that several key guys put their heads together and decided what they wanted in a "Forum Guitar". IIRC they chose a re-issue Strat in Seafoam Green. Then they put it out to the group kinda like, "Hey guys. This is what we're doing. We need X number of commitments. It will cost this much. Are you in? Sign up here. First come first served."

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

If this were to happen, we would need to vote on all possible options. Once the results are calculated we would have the FSR Fender Lounge Guitar. Then we need to get Fender on board.

I could live with this!! Nice idea. 8) Simplify life by specking it out like an American Standard with respect to neck carve, fret wire, and electronics and you've got it.

Uhhh is there a bass version in your plan? If not you are overlooking your string plucking brethren! I for one would buy a forum bass way, way before a Strat or Tele.

Good points. How about one of each?
  • FSR-FL American Standard Stratocaster®
  • FSR-FL American Standard Telecaster®
  • FSR-FL American Standard Precision Bass®

As much as I'm trying not to piss on this parade because I really would like to see a FSR-FL guitar, Bill's words are ringing clearer with every post ...

Thanks for posting the link, very cool. 8) For me, an MIM Strat, Olympic White with rosewood neck or an MIM Tele, Blonde with one piece maple neck. The only thing left is the Forum logo.

Sweet, but don't you think that an American Standard would be more fitting for a Fender Lounge FSR?

BM, a very good thought. I'm partial to the sound of MIM Fenders but I'm still in for the American Standard.

Well...getting back to the nitty gritty. I'm suggesting, once again, that the company create the art work and apply to to a guitar which anyone of us might order as a build on a visit to the Corona Visitors Center. They'd just be extending us the courtesy of doing it from afar.

Hi ZZDoc. I like the idea of the special artwork, but what about those of us who live in a galaxy far, far, away from Corona, California?

Such as I. To clarify the point....give us, at a distance, the same opportunity we would have were we in Corona. See my earlier comments.
