This one is out of my range. I would want a parchment pickguard and it would look like my old Tele. Couldn't help but think with the right number sometimes the impossible can almost be possible. Image

What would work nicely would be a small peel-off centered on the lower half of the pickguard.

Mike, hope it is a good choice and not loss of interest.

This suggests the precedence for an FSR Forums guitar. Now what kick starts the bike??

How about some Lounge picks? :D

Oh, but then we'd need to agree on the thickness and shape.

A white 351 in medium with the lounge forums logo?

We could autpgraph 'em and trade between ourselves. :?

Fender already markets a series of picks which might serve as a basis without getting too involved.

So I wonder what the verdict is then, if Brad has taken the idea to anyone who could make this happen.. I see a lot of talk about it but was just wondering if any talks have been made.. :)

in the "State of the Union" thread, Brad Traweek wrote:
... there's been some discussion about a Fender Lounge Forums guitar flowing around here and that's been quite intriguing to me - I've yet to weigh in on the topic, but just know that I'm reading the discussions and in wait-and-watch mode to see how the conversation gels. I certainly cannot make any promises as to what is and is not possible there as of yet, but just know that - at least at a surface level - I happen to agree that it'd be a pretty darned cool project ....

... I can't state what is and is not doable on that topic at this point as we've not really navigated the topic internally. BUT if there's interest here best thing to do would be to start coming to terms as to the type of price range folks feel they'd be able to digest and, realistically, how many takers we think we'd have. The effort would have to be a bit more universally embraced in terms of folks stepping forward to purchase than the "Forum t-shirt" project from a few years back. If you want to transition this particular discussion back over to the FSR thread I'll try to start checking on on that one a bit more actively than I have been.

It would appear that Brad has tossed the ball in our court and is waiting for something so that he may gauge the level of interest from the forum members. I wasn't around for the the Forum T-Shirt project but I get the impression that Brad wants to avoid an encore. Perhaps someone who was on the front lines would chime in and enlighten the rest of us? Was there disagreement on the design? Were there not enough orders to warrant a minimum run? Perhaps something else?

Cheers!
BM

Something else. Supply exceeded demand. Expectation exceeded realization.

Ah, now I understand why Brad is treading carefully, and I don't blame him one bit. Thanks, ZZDoc.

BTW, are there surplus Fender Lounge T-Shirts? Perhaps they could be made available again? How were they or would have been distributed?

Cheers!
BM

I think if there was a neckplate there I'd be willing to part with money on that one, however for a guitar im prettier strapped for. I'd rather order a customshop instrument instead

They were sold through the Fender Store. I own two. When the demand ran cold, Brad advised that they were reducing the price of the remaining supply
and there would be no more once the lot was exhausted.

I also own two of them and have been offered 3x what they originally sold at for one of them. Wish I bought three!

I would vote for a Tele! It is funny, I used to be a Strat guy until my wife got me my first Tele. last night at band rehearsal I was playing one of my strats...it just felt sooo wrong! I missed my Tele! So, I guess the Strats will stay at home and my Teles will get all the play!!
ABS :D
