My kids bought a Kindle Fire HD for my birthday, and along with it came a free month of Amazon Prime. On of the 'free' movies is 'Marley' http://tinyurl.com/a7ykojs a documentary by Oscar-winning documentarian Kevin Macdonald.

The movie was made with support of the Marley family, and Macdonald makes the best of this with interviews with Rita Marley, and Bob's various 'girlfriends'. There is also concert footage, interviews, and rare pictures of Bob Marley.

I've been a fan of Bob Marley since the '70s, and saw him in concert too. It was one of the greatest shows I've ever experienced, and I've been to quite a few. Watching this movie brought back the joy I felt at the concert, and also the sorrow I felt when Bob passed away back from cancer in '81.

I also know Donald Kinsey (The Kinsey Report), he played with Bob Marley, and was in the studio the night Marley was shot. He told me how crazy it was that night.

Roots, Rock, Reggae, this a reggae music http://youtu.be/gimcsxk5PUM.

Ive been a fan of Bob Marley since the 70's and think the Wayne Perkins "version" of concrete jungle is possibly the greatest reggae track ever laid down, just my opinion of course.
Just finished a book by Colin Grant ..... "The natural mystics" Marley Tosh and Wailer (Livingston) a great read too.

As they say Jah bless RIP Bob, sorely missed.

.... Al

Thanks dude! Yeah, they do love me. Both always talk about the fun they had as kids, with me. My grandkids, and my honey's grandkids all love coming over here.

It seems Bob, like with Frank Zappa, and Steve Jobs, got bad medical advice from people. I know now that with Bob, that with being a Rasta, the body is a holy temple, and that amputating that toe would 'deface' his body. But, if he had, he may still be alive today.
