Well, here’s another “shameless plug”...my most recent song demo, “Living With Eyes Closed”. It’s a slight departure from my last two demos (“Burnin’ Bridges Down” & “Perfect Lies And Alibis”).
Let me know what y’all think.
Thanks,
Mary!

I like it . But who do you want to reach with your music ? It kind of narrows down your audience without lyrics/ song 8) As Music for games & movies it could work IMHO.
I've got a friend near by who writes lyrics . He often comes to my house with a text , and wanting me to make some music to it . And , he usually wants us to record it immediately. Kinda pressure , which works fine with me - got to come up with something , and sometimes it is really quite good
I'm saying this because that could be a possible way further for you as well. Good luck !

I hear you and I respect your candor.

I do write lyrics for most of my songs or, at the least, have a concept for the content/intent of the song. My problem is that I’m not much of a singer.

I have no expectations with my music. I’m mainly a songwriter whom, out of necessity, plays all the instruments. I just really enjoy making music. It’s so uplifting and exciting to me when I create a new song. I am very realistic about the music I create. I’m not making music that follows any trends, I just follow my own muse.

Don’t get me wrong, I would love nothing more than to be able to sell my music, but why does there need to be a reason for making my music? I make music because I have to. It’s something that’s inside of me that I feel the need to let out. And music, like all art, should be shared with others. And that’s all I’m doing, sharing my music. The responses I’ve received from people of all ages, all walks of life and from all over the globe have been very positive.
When a person enjoys one of my songs and then takes the time to let me know, that is very uplifting and rewarding to me personally.

100% respect ,Mary ! I think this is the only true reason for making music . Be sure to keep up your good work. IMHO your music is meant to make people feel good !
Sometimes I can be a bit "solution- oriented"- and I got the impression that things are not so easy for you. Combined with that your burning for the musical expression , I tried to see a solution which could make life a bit easier for you . I assumed that this was about money , and tried to find out how to make some money. But of course, problems are not always about money.
I have a job to go to every day , and I am not dependant of selling my music. Downside with that is that the work sucks so much power out of me , leaving too little left for music making , but I still do as much as possible. And I love doing it .Very often alone , but sometimes with other musicians/composers/lyricists. All of that is great. But most I could wish to use more TIME on making music. When all comes to all - I trust myself most, and could want more time to fullfill some projects. And as you know , it is time consuming to do it all .
Well Mary , Fight! You've got some nice takes on your music !

Thank you all so much for your support and good words about my music. Of all the places I share links to my music, this Fender forum is the one which makes me the most nervous and means the most to me. You'll never truly know just how much it means to me to get a "thumbs up" from my brothers & sister here.
