It reminds me of the art booths they had at amusement parks when I was a kid where they took a piece of cardboard stock, attached it to a turntable type machine that spun it fast. You'd then squirt different colored paint on to it and the centrifugal force would create patterns similar to that.

Those "splatter casters" used to be for sale everywhere. It seems that when production ceased, they became collector's items.

IMO those finishes are as ugly as a hat full of a-holes.
That includes the genuine/fake firestorms.
