Arguing about music is like dancing about architecture. Not the exact quote, but it can apply here. Also, arguing on the Internet is not exactly the best way to utilize your time, but then again, it is your time to waste.

Music should be about feeling, not terms people use to genre box others into. The blues can and should be about you want it to be, not what someone else says it should be. It's actually quite simple, live and let live. If you think Eric Clapton, Robert Johnson, or some dude farting in a bath tub is blues, then that's what it should be.
