You assume I'm upset about it, I'm not. Neither Obama or Romney got my vote yesterday. I'm a libertarian and refuse to choose for the lesser of two evils. Our system is broken.

Americans are getting dumber by the day. They allow the media to spoon feed them what they want to hear and ignore using they're own thought process which seems to be incapable now days because we are getting too lazy to think for ourselves.

Until people realize the two party system is a set up by the chosen few and folks understand this, this is not going to change.

Sorry to voice my opinion here, but if you classify yourself one party or the other, your the problem.

There is always an outside chance that the United States will not be completely brought to its knees by 2016. Obama may actually need more time to completely ruin the United States - soooooooo. We need to hurry up and appeal the term limits imposed by the 22nd amendment so that Obama can run for a third term. You may laugh but I guarantee you there are some bigwigs sitting around a big table wracking their little brains over how to get term limits lifted so the messiah car get a third term.

don't worry, no one is seriously suggesting the repeal of the 22nd amendment. it won't happen.

This doom and gloom talk is exactly why the GOP lost. The birthers, the chick fil-a's, all that crap is exactly why the GOP might never win a general presidential election again.

Nah! that was Bush that did that by getting into all the wars and the amount of debt that mounted up under his watch.

Obama just ended up with the $@!& job of having to clean up the mess.

Flipper, you are old enough to know better than that. To you younger guys, get out and change things. That is how it works if people care enough. Start the change with you.

Not being a democrat or a republican, I didn't think much of Bush but I think even less of Obama. The national debt was 10 trillion in 2008. It now stands at 16 trillion. Another year or 2 and Obama will have doubled the national debt. I do wonder however when it stops being the responsibility of Bush and starts being the responsibility of Obama?

I am a conservative democrat who was inducted into the man's war of 1965-1975. I want it to be for a reason more than the man's wallet. ie, the Bush war of Iraq. The war against the terrorists around Afganistan is a righteous war. IMHO.

Although that war is effectively over. Thank God and you know who.ha

Historically, I believe there have been 14 Democratic presidents and 18 republican presidents. Pretty closely divided I think. Having said that, I don't take political party into consideration when choosing a president, just the man running. The 2012 election was like the Kobayashi Maru in Star Trek - The no win scenario. Neither option was really impressive. For me, instead of choosing the best candidate, it was choosing the lesser of the two evils.

Me too in a way. Since 1980 the man is not similar in any way. The philosophies are all there is to choose from. The Republicans of the wealthy, and the Democrats of the middle class and the poor. A person just has to decide who they are.
