So what's the probability that during this term, house prices will bottom, the real unemployment rate will be lower, real incomes will be higher, real interest rates return.

Normally I'd say 100% but these aren't normal times. And the next few months could be important unless the can is kicked even further down the road.

Let's hope for the best.

I didn't count so, I'm not sure who won the opinion poll here, I will say that I share the opinions of some of the people I've always respected for their rational thinking, their intelligence and their obvious moral stand.

Yes everyone, we are so screwed!

We Canadians have been following all of the election process very closely because much of what the U.S. does affects Canada in some way.Anyway the CBC television station in Newfoundland conducted a poll asking simply who people favoured to gain the presidency and 100% of respondents named Obama as their favourite. There were many unkind remarks about Romney being an elitist and that only the well to do would benefit if he was elected.

Don't come down on me if you are a Romney supporter as I am only passing on the results and comments of the poll.In order not to ruffle any feathers I will keep my opinions to myself-I get enough flack from tearing down our Canadian politicians on our local T.V. and radio stations and Facebook.

Yes so why not do it like we do in the UK where we have an NHS and anyone can use it for treatment?

The problem with the US is there are too many people with money who can afford healthcare and because of that they're so consumed with hate they don't want some poor sod who has nothing to get it!!

Result? well you just saw it; Obama wins and if it carries on with people from the right taking the same selfish stand, the Republicans will be lucky to even be a party in 10 years time. They will literally not be there. They are a dinosaur in today's world. Consumed by their own selfishness but all the time they don't wish some homeless person to have healthcare!! What sort of people are these i ask myself?

You've had the message; you either change your attitudes personally, and as a party, or you will face extinction within the next 10/20 years. Too many black/hispanic people who are going to be voting Democrat for the Republicans to counter unless, as i said above, you change your whole attitude.

Ha ha ha ha....................ha ha ha.......................ha ha ha......................! The sky is falling! Now our nation is truly divided! Ha ha ha...............I think I pissed my pants...............ha ha ha........................Can you give me an amber alert, I think the repukeblikunt sky has fallen.............ha ha ha.......................We want smaller government damn it................ha ha ha...............................that evil Kenyan !@$ commie baby killer has taken over once again...............ha ha ha. God bless Teddy Roosevelt and, Dwight D. Eisenhower...................ha ha ha..................they called Ike a commie because he defended SS. Ha ha ha..................................................I don't have to apologize or be afraid for being a Democrat Moderate. I have close friends that are Republicans! To myself and milions of other Americans, this is not a divided nation! Fox News is not fair and balanced. My rep friends swear the media are a bunch of commies working together and, Fox is the true news worthy guiding light of news! Ha ha ha ha..................This time around Rove's lies, deceptions and smoke screens did not do the trick! As you can well imagine, I'm 19 years old, I have a purple mohawk, I take magic mushrooms and, support the left strongly! LOL Ha ha ha.................I pissed myself again. I'm really enjoying this. I enjoy the fact that America might have a chance to get out of the hole once again. The reps need to clean house and analize their stuff from a real world point of view. "They're kind of cute Ronnie! I think the Beach Boys should play at the White House.!" Should not be how a party's reasoning works. I'm one of those freaks who believes government is there to serve the constituency. I'm sure one or two of us, who put our boy back on the map, feel this way as well. Rant over!

I really miscalled this one. The Obama-liberalism movement eludes me. Well, at least almost half the voters are with me.

Matt, a lot of people in the USA, most I believe, are not right wing or left wing. Before Reagan, both parties had moderates. Conservative democrat, liberal republican. Now, you have to pick your poison. A lot of us 60% conservative people will not abandon grandma in the nursing home, the disabled, helping the elderly. We can afford that.
