Today I went to Nazareth, PA to explore the C. F. Martin Factory. It was nice and cool and all that but the whole time I was thinking to myself how I own 2 fender guitars and how much cooler it would be to see how they make a Strat or Tele etc. at the fender factory in California. I know they don't do those but if they had it would you go? If I ever was in Cali I would surely go but I am in New York... Anyone share my feelings?

Quite a few ask that question. Fender doesn't offer factory tours though. I wouldn't mind taking one myself.

I could be wrong. I thought there was a Fender museum in town but there weren't any factory tours.

Here's a cool link with pics of pretty much the whole process at Corona.

Here's another pictorial Fender Factory Tour.
Both in Ensenada and Corona, IIRC.

I think it was the Discovery Channel that recently did a whole episode on how the Stratoocaster is made... That was an awesome show. I was TRYING to search for it on their website, but it keeps crashing. :(

I think I would rather visit the Custom Shop or even the G&L factory. Seeing old school luthiers working their skill by hand would be a soulful thing to witness.

Hi Zig. I was watching this channel on Sunday they were at the Gibson factory showing how they made the les paul. Maybe Fender could get a gig on the show How's it made. Have a good one

I appreciate the pics and effort but having them in some sort of order would be nice; I realize that ina factory order of manufacture doesn't have to follow order of assembly...but I do have new pics for my screen saver now!
